Meetings · online and in the room

The meeting ends — the notes are ready

You talk — BuzzAI records, works out who said what and puts together the notes: what you agreed on, who does what, and what's still open.

Decisions

  • Sign-up comes after the first recording, not before.
  • Guest mode ships in Friday's build.

Action items

  • Tom — guest mode, by Friday.
  • Lisa — new first screen, mockup on Tuesday.

Open questions

  • What do we do about people who already signed up?

Records any meeting —
online and in the room

Recording happens on your device. Nobody needs to be invited to the call: no bot and no extra guest shows up in the participant list.

Video call

BuzzAI captures your microphone and system audio at the same time — it hears you and everyone coming through your speakers.

  • Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, Slack, Discord, FaceTime
  • A Telegram or WhatsApp call counts as a meeting too
  • Notices when a call starts and offers to record it

In-room meeting

Meeting room, interview, client session, lecture. It records through your laptop or phone microphone — whatever is already on the table will do.

  • Voices around the table are split by speaker
  • Recording and transcription work even with no internet
  • Mixed languages in one sentence — no setup needed

Knows who's talking

Voices are separated automatically. Enter the names once and they appear across the whole transcript. Try it right here.

Meeting participants

Tap and type a name

Or use a preset:
1
Voice 100:14

Quick one: half of new users drop off on the first screen. This isn’t a “let’s think about it” — it’s a fire.

2
Voice 200:29

Well, it takes three steps to the first recording. I can cut it to one, but that’s a week, not two days.

3
Voice 300:43

What if sign-up comes after the first recording? Let them try it first.

1
Voice 101:12

Decided: try first, sign up later. Lisa, can you redo the first screen?

Line assigned to the wrong person? Reassign it and fix the text — your edits are saved with the meeting.

Live text first —
then the clean copy

During the meeting, text is written right on your computer — so you can see the recording is running. Afterwards, one click re-processes the whole recording: punctuation, terms and product names fall into place.

so uh the hub spot export by thursday are we good

So, the HubSpot export by Thursday — are we good?

T
Tom00:17

yeah if cooper netties doesnt go down then ill drop it in jeera

Yeah, if Kubernetes doesn't go down. Then I'll drop it in Jira.

L
Lisa00:24

ok so retro on friday at ten thirty

OK, so retro on Friday at 10:30.

Live text is for following the meeting. The clean copy is for sending.

Notes,
not a transcript

The full transcript is kept too — but you usually don't need to read it: a short digest of what was agreed sits right on top.

Decisions

What was agreed

Only what was decided, as a separate list. No “we discussed” or “we'll think about it”.

Sign-up comes after the first recording; guest mode by Friday.

Action items

Who does what

Who, what and by when — exactly as it was said.

Tom — guest mode, by Friday.
Lisa — first-screen mockup, Tuesday.

Open questions

What's still open

Loose ends — so they don't resurface a month later as news.

What do we do about people who already signed up?

Replay any line

Click a line in the transcript and playback jumps right there. No more hunting “somewhere in the middle”.

Live transcript

Text appears during the meeting, right on your computer. You can see the recording is running — and that you're being heard.

Summary on top

Above the notes there's a short recap of the meeting. Copy it in one click and send it to whoever missed it.

Fits into your day —
without changing it

Notices calls on its own

A call starts — BuzzAI offers to record it. No need to remember to hit a button.

No extra guests on the call

It records from your computer. No bot in the participant list, no “an assistant has joined the meeting”.

Notes, straight to work

Copy in one click and paste into a team chat, an email or a task. No retyping.

Two ways
to process a meeting

You choose per meeting: send this one to the cloud, process that one on your own computer.

Best quality

In the cloud

Top quality: the most accurate transcript, every participant heard separately, complete notes. For the meetings that matter.

  • Every voice is its own speaker, not just “the other person”
  • The most accurate transcript: terms, names, interruptions
  • Complete notes: decisions, action items, questions
  • Included in the subscription — or pay per meeting

Audio is sent only for transcription and isn't stored by us.

Free

On your computer

For when nothing at all can leave the building. Recording and transcription happen on the device; neither audio nor text goes online.

  • Suitable for meetings under NDA
  • Works offline
  • Speakers are separated right on your computer

There are no notes here — the cloud produces those. You keep the full transcript and speakers on your computer and can still send the meeting to the cloud later.

Recording and the live transcript during the meeting always run locally — whichever mode you choose, even offline.

A meeting under NDA
never leaves your laptop

The most common argument against recording meetings is “this can't leave the company”. So we have a way to send out nothing at all.

Locally

What stays on your computer:

  • Meeting audio — entirely yours
  • The transcript is produced on the device
  • Participant names go nowhere
  • Works with the network off

Notes come from the cloud — here you keep the full transcript and speakers.

In the cloud

If you choose cloud processing:

  • Audio is sent only for transcription
  • The recording is not stored on our servers
  • Phone recordings wait only until your computer picks them up, then they're deleted
  • Your meetings are not used to train models

Telling participants about the recording is still up to you: it's both a legal requirement and simple courtesy.

Computer on the desk,
phone in your pocket

Calls on your Mac or Windows PC, the meeting-room conversation on the iPhone or Android phone you already carry.

Mac and Windows

Home base for meetings: calls and meeting rooms, live transcript, speakers, notes, replay any line. Local mode lives here too.

iPhone and Android

Tap record and put the phone on the table. Handy where opening a laptop feels out of place: a client session, a site visit, a conversation on the go.

Recorded on your phone? Send it to your computer in one tap: transcript, speakers, notes are all there. One account, one meeting history.

Three steps to your first notes

Download and sign in

A minute to install. No card needed — it's free to start.

Hit record

Say whether it's a call or an in-room conversation, and where to process it — locally or in the cloud.

Get your notes

Stop the recording — decisions, action items and questions are ready. Enter participant names once.

Frequently asked questions

Which devices does it work on?

On Mac and Windows — calls and in-room meetings, live transcript, speakers, notes. On iPhone and Android — record a conversation on your phone and send the meeting to your computer in one tap. One account across all your devices.

Do I need to invite a bot to the call?

No. Recording happens on your computer: BuzzAI captures the microphone and system audio at the same time. Nobody else has to install anything, and no extra guest shows up in the participant list.

How do I record an in-person meeting without internet?

Choose “in-room meeting” — it records through your laptop or phone microphone. In local mode the transcript is also produced on the device, so you don't need a connection at all. Speakers are separated right on your computer, and the notes are added later — once you're back online and run cloud processing.

What if the meeting is under NDA?

That's exactly what local mode is for: recording and transcription happen on your computer, and neither audio nor text goes online. Speakers are separated right on your computer. Notes aren't produced in this mode — that's the cloud part; locally you keep the full meeting transcript with speakers. You pick the mode per meeting: keep one on your laptop, send another to the cloud.

How do I know who said what?

Lines are split by voice and grouped by speaker. You enter the names once and they appear across the whole transcript. A line assigned to the wrong person can be reassigned and the text corrected; your edits are saved with the meeting.

How much does it cost to process a meeting?

Local mode is free for as many meetings as you like. Cloud processing is included in the subscription; without one you can pay per meeting: the price is shown before you start, depends on the recording length, and you're charged for actual use.

Does it handle mixed languages?

Yes. Several languages mixed in one sentence are fine — terms and names stay in their original language instead of being translated. Over a hundred languages in total, detected automatically.

Where is the meeting recording stored?

Recordings live on your device. Audio is sent only for transcription and isn't stored by us. A meeting recorded on your phone stays on the server only until your computer picks it up — then the file is deleted.

What does voice typing have to do with it?

It's the same app. Besides meetings, BuzzAI types for you in any text field — you talk, it types clean text. More on the dictation page.

One subscription —
meetings and dictation

Meetings are recorded by the same BuzzAI that types for you by voice. One app, one account, one subscription.

You're here

Meetings

Records calls and in-person conversations, splits them by speaker and puts together the notes.

Dictation

Hold a key and talk — clean text appears in the active field: in Slack, email, docs.

Stop taking notes

Listen to the meeting instead of writing it down.
